Describe
The predecessor of the Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University was the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, which was established in 1956. Approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, on November 20, 1999, the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts was officially merged into Tsinghua University and renamed the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University. Teaching, creative design, theoretical research and social practice are integrated, comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, high-level, higher art design and fine arts colleges with certain influence at home and abroad.
